This patient had a nondisplaced scaphoid fracture. The scaphoid bone is unique because it gets retro-vascular blood flow. It can be very difficult to treat if the fracture is not caught early. A lot of the times you can get away with cast imobilization, however, some fractures require surgery. #medical #ASMR #orthopedics
