SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island and Hilton Head Running Company are teaming up to host the Mom’s Day 5k and ‘Loggerhead Loop’ Fun Run on May 10 at Coligny Beach Park.

Turtles need to cross the road, too. For the next three months, the Island Loop Drive on Jamestown Island will be closed intermittently to protect migrating turtles in Colonial National Historic Park.
